Barbara has decided to pass on the presidency reins to Laurie and is receiving a gift from Linda for her many wonderful years of serving Classic Blend. Thank you Barbara for your hard work and dedication. |
Classic Blend is very sad to announce that our long time member, Sandra Anderson, passed away January 23rd. Sandra sang mostly baritone in the chorus, but sometimes tenor which was her love. She sang tenor with Just Friends, a quartet who were together many years. Sandra was also instrumental as the chorus' Government Relations Secretary. We will miss Sandra and her love of music. The heavenly choir is now stronger. |
After our singout at La Salle Park retirement home, we received a lovely note of thanks. It is our pleasure to do these sing outs and we're so happy the residents enjoy our performances.. |
We had a fun hat night to show support for one of our members! Great night and wonderful variety of hats!! |
Our very own bass, Maria Chetwyn, has stepped in as our interim diirector, which we are really enjoying! |
Our director, Jim O’Neill, has decided to move on and we’d like to thank him for his leadership and direction these past few years. There have been many challenges through COVID to have proper rehearsals and sing outs, but we kept things going as best we could thanks to the wonders of Zoom! We wish Jim well in his new endeavours and hope he continues to have a song in his heart! |
Congratulations to Ella, Charlene and Vi on their 40, 30 and 55 years singing!! |

Classic Blend is very sad to announce the passing of one of our long time members. Gail Urquhart joined Classic Blend in 1992 and was a proud bass who loved to sing. She always knew her music, was forthright, witty and always willing to lend a hand. She was our historian, parliamentarian, treasurer, choreographer and often our emcee at sing outs. Gail would hold the audience's attention with interesting facts about each song and a twinkle in her striking blue eyes. Rest in peace, Gail. We will all miss you very much. Keep a song in your heart and may the road rise to meet you. | |||
