Known as 'The Chorus with the Biggest Heart'...
...Classic Blend Ladies' Barbershop Chorus is one of the oldest chapters of Harmony Incorporated,
an international non-profit organization whose purpose is to empower all women through
education, friendship and a cappella singing in the four part, barbershop style. Previously known
as the Gay Tempos and the Tempo Tones, Classic Blend has had many incarnations since it's inception in 1964, but one thing remains a constant: each member of our group becomes part of our large family. New members are always welcome. All we ask is that you enjoy singing and can carry a tune. Your self-confidence and self-esteem grow with each performance and show.
We are proud of the awards our chorus and its quartets have won including Singing Excellence, Membership, and Community Service. As a competing chorus, continuing education, coaching sessions and workshops at Area and International levels provide excellent learning experiences.
We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m in St. Michael's Anglican Church, 1188 Fennell Ave. E at High Street in Hamlton and you are most welcome to join us and see what we're all about! We think you will come for the music and stay for the friendship! Since our chorus is very active in our community performing at musical shows, fundraising events, social gatherings, nursing and retirement homes, we suggest that you check our calendar of events or call Debra McKay at 647-671-1094 before you visit to make sure that we will be at the hall that evening.
